Writing Our Books
When the world around us shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic throughout most of 2020, Allison and I thought it would be a good time to take on some big writing projects.
We started writing our debut book, Start Your FIRE: A Modern Guide to Early Retirement, during our 10-week trip to Europe and South America. We began the book in Spain, continued writing during our Trans-Atlantic cruise, and finished the first chapter while in Chile. In June of 2020, our first published book hit the shelves of Amazon and other book sellers!
Shortly after Start Your FIRE was published, we were approached by our publisher to take a stab at an investment book for children. Although this was way outside our wheelhouse, we decided to take on the challenge, and we're glad we did! After several months of researching, writing, and editing, we completed Investing For Kids, and it's gone on to sell over 50,000 copies so far.
But we weren't finished yet! In 2022, we took on our third book project with Personal Finance Workbook for Beginners. This one took even more time to research, write, and edit than our previous books. We're really proud of the final product and feel this book will help countless people on their personal finance journey.
